Summary

This introductory course provides a overview of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It covers fundamental concepts, key algorithms, and practical applications across various industries. Students will learn about supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, and modern AI techniques through hands-on seminars. By the end of the seminar, students should have a general idea about how machines learn and complete intelligent tasks.

Description

Have you ever wondered what it means for a machine to learn and show signs of intelligence? Does it do it the same way as us humans? Would you like to have an idea of how machines recognize objects, act upon it (e.g. self-driving cars) or process natural languages (e.g. ChatGPT) or create art (e.g. DALL-E)? Do you want to know what the relationship of gaming hardware such as GPUs (Graphical Processing Units) is to Machine Learning and Deep Learning? This workshop will introduce some of the fundamental concepts in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence. This is an introductory practical seminar. Some basic knowledge of Python programming knowledge is preferred but all you need is a laptop, your long-forgotten high school level mathematics knowledge and preferably knowledge of any high-level programming/scripting language knowledge.
